What is FrozenPools?

FrozenPools is a hockey draft website. From this point on, we will assume you know what a hockey draft, pool or fantasy hockey is. There are many types of hockey drafts with numerous options. FrozenPools goal is to provide a pool manager with as much control as possible giving the poolies the best draft experience on the web.

What are the 3 draft formats?

FrozenPools current supports 3 draft formats.

• 1. A ladder draft - Sometimes a called a snake draft, this format is the most popular hockey draft. In this draft format a player can only be chosen once and the draft order is reversed on every second round. For example, if there are 5 draft teams in a draft, the first pick selects, then the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th team. The 6th overall pick goes to the team with the 5th pick.
• 2. Box draft - This format of hockey draft is popular for larger drafts with sometimes thousands of draft teams. For each draf pick you have a set of players to choose from called a box. For each box, a draft team can only select one player.
• 3. PickAnyX draft - This format is where each draft team gets to pick any X number of players and each draft team can have the same player.

How do I create a draft?

The steps needed to create a draft depend on the type of draft.

• 4) Invite participants to draft or manually add them (see manage draft)
